The talented multi-instrumentalist, producer, songwriter, and Southern California native Shane Sato, is proud to announce “Never Let You Go” with Oli-J. It is the debut single off the upcoming album Wavelength and due out on December 5th on Mixto Records. Pre-save “Never Let You Go” here.
The Japanese-American artist, Shane Sato, was raised in Southern California and currently lives in Los Angeles. Shane launched his solo project last year with the breakthrough album Until We Meet Again, and along with a handful of beautiful collaborations, has garnered critical acclaim and 1 million+ streams.
The newest single, “Never Let You Go” with Oli-J, was created during a spontaneous jam session, days after Shane’s beautiful wedding in picturesque Santa Barbara, CA. “Never Let You Go” is a soulful R&B meditation on romance, holding onto a loved one and is a shimmering ode to partnership. The track flows with velvet guitar tones, buttery saxophone melodies, soulful modern production, capped off with Oli-J’s smooth, heartfelt vocal delivery.
The leading single captures the golden warmth of devotion in its purest form. Glowing with the same colors that define the forthcoming full-length album, Wavelength: coral sunsets, teal horizons, and the deep connections powered by true love. Co-written and performed with Nashville-based vocalist Oli-J, it was recorded in Los Angeles with friends and co-producers Coastal and Clay Sauter.
The new album Wavelength is an ode to collaboration, love, and the calming flow of water. Featuring a powerhouse lineup of collaborators and friends, this upcoming album paints with a palette of warm, vibrant colors and explores multiple genres from jazz to indie to soul. Shane is excited to patiently roll out this project, starting on December 5th with “Never Let You Go” with Oli-J and leading to a full album release in the Spring of 2026.
